+ WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
> Continental breakfast for the Private Rooms; (Daily from 8.00am until 10.00am) > Fresh bed linen and a ready-made bed upon arrival and towels. > Lockers in the room; every bed has a locker that is free if you bring your own padlock. You need to bring your own padlock! > Free WiFi at the lobby, pool, and bar. > The pool and of course the beach right in front of the entrance. |
+ HOW DO I GET TO AFREEKA IN LAS TERRENAS?
If you don't have your own car you have to rely on public transportation. HERE is a link of the official website of where and when the busses arrive and leave Las Terrenas. Arriving at the bus station we suggest you to take a drive to our location. Once you get out of the bus you will get a lot of offers from friendly local people who are waiting to drive you safely to our hostel at the Beach "Playa Punta Popy". |
+ WHAT TIME IS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT?
Check-out is 11:00 AM. After check-out, we clean the rooms so they are ready around 2:00 PM. Sometimes people can check in from 11.00 AM. The rooms are not ready at that time, but they can leave their luggage safe in the reception. |
+ CAN I PAY IN US DOLLARS?
Yes, you can pay in DOP (Dominican Peso) or in US Dollars. Ask for the exchange rate when paying. |
+ IS IT POSSIBLE TO ADD MORE PEOPLE IN A PRIVATE ROOM?
It is possible, for an extra cost, but keep in mind that additional beds are subject to availability. |
OTHER QUESTIONS
+ CAN I PARK MY CAR OR MY BIKE SOMEWHERE?
We don’t offer a parking lot at the hostel but on the other side of the road, right at the beach, is a public parking area. |
+ HOW FAR IS THE HOSTEL FROM THE CENTER OF THE TOWN?
It is about 900m, a 10min walk. Also, there are two big supermarkets in town. |
+ CAN I VOLUNTEER IN THE CARIBBEAN AT AFREEKA?
Volunteering with us means free accommodation, free breakfast and a meal every day. You will be working approximately 25 hours spread over 5 days a week. Tasks would mainly be: |
> Working at the reception > Prepairing breakfast for the guests > Enternainment and animations > Helping in the garden > Helping at the bar |
But you work in a team so basically wherever there is help needed! Photographers with Photoshop skill are welcome as well. Just write us an Email to reservations@afreekabeachhostel.com and we will check if anyone is needed currently or in the future. |
